Our Horsemanship Philosophy
Our mission is to allow each student to develop their skills at their own pace with focus on safety & horsemanship. We are big believers in the merits of hard work, diligence and pushing through challenges in a way that is safe and constructive for students. If we happen to run into a “learning opportunity” during the lesson, our instructors work with the student until he/she has reached a positive resolution. Here at Starry Haven Farms we strive to teach not only horsemanship skills, but also life skills to build confidence. Our teaching principal is built on the foundation of trust established between instructor and rider, as well as rider and horse.

Riding Lessons
Here at Starry Haven Farms we offer both individualized horse-back riding lessons, and small group packages for birthday celebrations and corporate retreats. Our lessons are tailored to fit each students’ age, experience level and goals. We believe in the full horse-riding experience, so we cover ground work as well as riding. This would include, catching, grooming and saddling the horse before you ride and bathing/grooming the horse after you ride. Each lesson is approximately an hour to an hour and a half long.
